Brian Huffman Scholarship

Brian Huffman’s legacy lives on through a scholarship established in his memory. The “Brian M. Huffman Memorial Scholarship” is presented to a Louisa County High School senior each May.

Brian had served as vice-chairman of the Louisa County School Board and had been re-elected to a fourth term as the Green Springs district representative in 2013. Education was very important to Brian. He was an advocate for post-high school education whether it was attending a four-year college, community college or technical school.

To be chosen for the scholarship, students must be an LCHS senior with a 2.5 GPA or higher, active in extra-curricular activities and demonstrate leadership in volunteer or other capacities. Applicants will be interviewed by the scholarship selection committee. The recipient of this $5,000 scholarship will receive the award for the upcoming academic year. Students or relatives of BIO-CAT employees will not be eligible.
